This is just a little of the amazing range of work that William Heath Robinson was responsible for in his lifetime, all of which will be tremendously influencial in the final look of "The Adventures of Uncle Lubin" film. The world knows Heath Robinson of course as the 'Gadget King'... mainly as a result of the wildly imaginative and eccentric mechanical devices he conceived and illustrated. However the artist was also responsible for incredible line illustrations of magnificently-featured storybook landscapes and characters, in addition to his beautifully controlled painted works, some of which are indicated here. With such gems to draw upon (quite literally!) there is every reason to believe that "The Adventures of Uncle Lubin" will become a timeless, classically animated film that will appeal to audiences of all ages and for generations to come!
